Camera painting, also known as kinetic light painting, is a form of Light Painting Photography where the camera itself is moved and the light within the scene stay stationary. I created the images that you see in this collection by moving the camera by hand while the shutter remains open. I used a custom made device called a Camera Rotation Tool that allows me to spin the camera in a 360° motion. Using the CRT very ordinary things can become extraordinary images and complex geometric patterns can emerge from the most mundane scenes. All of my light paintings are created in real time and captured to the camera in one single photographic frame.
