In simple terms an NFT (non fungible token) is an immutable entry on a digital ledger that anyone can access and verify. With art an NFT can be looked at as a Digital Certificate of Authenticity and Proof of Ownership that no-one can forge or modify. In other words, in the case of my NFT’s, it is an unalterable record saying that “This is an authentic Light Painting created by Jason D. Page and I own it”.

I believe the NFT is one of the greatest things to happen for artists, ever. The beauty of the NFT is that it puts the responsibility of assigning value to the art into the hands of many, rather than just the hands of the few select market makers. NFT’s allow an artist to access many collectors around the world through the power of the internet. Unlike a physical print an NFT can be traded or sold at the click of a button 24/7. NFT’s allow millions of people to not only collect, but also to BENEFIT from collecting the work of the artists that they enjoy and appreciate. With a accessible digital record of who owns the artwork at any given time collectors can be rewarded by the artist just for collecting their work! Collectors of my NFT’s will receive Airdrops of new artwork, access to exclusive content and even revenue sharing! Because the creator and the collectors benefit, this gives birth to a global community and the chance for explosive value appreciation for the people by the people. It’s beautiful and the way it should be.  A quote I live my life by is “I fully realize that no wealth or position can long endure, unless built upon truth and justice; therefore, I will engage in no transaction which does not benefit all whom it affects.”  This is the goal of my NFT’s.

I chose to work with Theta over all other blockchains because I believe in the team, the technology and the community!  Theta’s team is second to none, they have established partnerships with industry leaders and they deliver what they say they are gonna do. I believe Theta’s technology will become the backbone of Web 3.0 and I encourage you to read their white paper to learn more. Theta is also one of the greenest blockchains around. Finally the Theta community reminds me very much of our Light Painting Community. The Theta community members are passionate, intelligent, innovative and they are simply a good group of humans that are helpful to one another. The Theta Community understands working together for the greater good and that is something that I love and I am very grateful to be a part of.
